Be an Angel e.V. is a global non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for people forced to flee their homes due to conflict and persecution. Our vision is a world where people who are forced to flee their homes are welcomed and treated with dignity.
We work specifically in emergencies: Evacuation from crisis areas, humanitarian aid, emergency pediatric care and for children with rare diseases. Our humanitarian support ranges from social and economic integration to empowerment for refugee women and emotional and social learning programs for children.
Our statutory purpose is: ” the promotion of aid for people persecuted for political, racial or religious reasons, for refugees, displaced persons, ethnic German repatriates, war victims, survivors of war and war victims. ” Read the full statutes here.
Our work is exempt from corporation tax due to the promotion of aid for politically, racially or religiously persecuted persons, refugees and displaced persons (Section 52 (2) sentence 1 no. 10 AO) according to the last notice of exemption we received from the Tax Office for Corporations I, Berlin (tax number 27/661/63361) dated 14. 10.2022 (assessment period 2019 to 2032) in accordance with Section 5 (1) no. of the German Corporation Tax Act (Körperschaftsteuergesetz), we are exempt from corporation tax in accordance with Section 3 no. 6 of the German Trade Tax Act (Gewerbesteuergesetz).

In Ukraine, it is registered as a charity organization under the name БО БФ “БІ ЕН ЕНЖЕЛ-УКРАЇНА” (Be an Angel Ukraine) with the registration number 44796674.
